A: It does not say anything about the coating in the instruction manual and in product description either. I have used it and it works fine. The wire is very short and I use an extension cord with it. Also the green light looks more like a red that green. Suggest you approach the company directly.

Great product specually for waffles Can't imagine if the plates were not detachable how they could have been cleaned , extremy easy to use and clean as the plates are detachable Waffles take min 10 min but thats ok , turn out really nice
