They're 4 years old (I have two of them). They have dirty blond hair and the color is bright in their hair. The color does come off when it's still wet so be careful about your kids touching things with their hair, like when they hug you or if they bang into the wall. And after it dries, it will rub off onto things slightly, leaving a faint color impression; Such as of they sleep with it in their hair, the pillow will probably show some color transfer. But it washes out of clothes and off of walls, and easily washes out of their hair. My girls thought it was as much fun to watch the color wash down the drain as it was to wear the color. We were gifted some hair chalk last year. I would recommend this hair color over hair chalk every time. It's so much easier to put/comb in and wash out than the hair chalk. And the kit comes with a hair comb to make it easier and so your own combs won't be stained. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Muted/dull colors *by V***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2020* The colors don’t come up as bright as expected. It’s more muted/dull. I used a fair amount of the orange color on my kid and it didn’t brighten up. We tried using the brush as directed but it took much longer than expected so we ended up doing the hair in sections, by rubbing it in with our hands.Washing it out was easy. While applying I used gloves to protect my hands, and a thick towel to cover her shoulders.
