The shipping was a little slow because it came all the way from China and I think there was a delay because of world events. But it was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition to my home in the USA.The first thing I noticed about this xiao is how high quality it seemed. Granted this is my first xiao so I'm not an expert, but it was head and shoulders way better than the Dizi I ordered from another company. The workmanship seemed great and I could tell there was attention to detail.Unfortunately, after my second playing session I suffered a crack in the headpiece of my xiao. This was because of my warm breath and probably because there is a difference in the humidty where I live compared to where the xiao was produced. I emailed the seller and he quickly sent me instructions on how to do a temporary repair (using tape) or a permanent repair (using krazy glue and sandpaper) .After I made the repair things seemed to be a bit better, but not perfect. Unfortuntely the crack goes right through the mouth notch where you are supposed to blow. I think this is causing some issues. But since I'm still a new player it's hard to know for sure. The seller graciously offered to send me a new Xiao free of charge which I'm going to take him up on. He's also a xiao player so he knows that these things can happen because of the material of these flutes.Overall I am very happy with my xiao despite what has happened because the seller stands by his product and was very pleasant to deal with. I'd definitely order from them again in the future. If you are thinking about getting a xiao just do it. Now I have a dilemma either return it and wait for another one for a month or two or glue it and have it handy for long.. Also, shipping from China was perfect on this and my previous order. The order was dated to arrive between Jan 10 and Feb 2. It arrived Jan 10. Oriental Music Sanctuary has pleased me with two great orders now and in the next year I also plan to purchase an erhu or guchin.
