Gorilla Waterproof Caulk & Seal 100% Silicone Sealant* seals out water, air and moisture and is great for kitchen, bath, window, doors, auto, marine plumbing, gutters and more! Ready for water exposure in just 30 minutes, this waterproof sealant is mold & mildew resistant. This silicone sealant won't yellow, shrink or crack over time!**Note: Do not use on wet, damp, frozen or contaminated surfaces. Not paintable. Not for use in underwater applications, aquariums, on brick, masonry, cementitious materials or on metals sensitive to corrosion including brass & galvanized metals. For general auto/marine applications – not for under hood or direct gasoline exposure.TO OPEN: Unscrew cap, fold and screw-on nozzle. Cut to desired bead size.TO USE: All surfaces should be clean and free of dirt, grease, oil and old sealant. For gaps larger than ½ inch use backer rod. Best if applied above 40°F (5°C).1) Apply sealant, pushing bead ahead of nozzle. 2) Smooth bead immediately after application, before skin forms.30 MINUTE RAIN/SHOWER READY: Can be exposed to water in as little as 30 minutes based on a 3/16” bead at 70°F (21°C) and 50% humidity. This stuff works great!!. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lazily caulked a leaky sunroof shut. No more leak, no issues in the baking Florida sun.

Bottom line: I did a half-hearted wipe down of the sunroof seal area, and then did a quick and dirty bead around the entire seal. This caulk is easy to work with and stays forgiving just long enough to lay a bead and then finger-smooth it so it looks pretty. It was fully dry about a half hour after applying, and we had a rainstorm that night and it was already up to the task. The sunroof never leaked again. So, I can't promise you'll have the same results as me with virtually NO prep, but at the very least this should reinforce the notion that this product really works, especially if you put in the prep time. Long story: A few years ago, I had a leaky sunroof on a 2009 GTI that the dealer couldn't completely fix. I eventually got fed up with the process and caulked it shut. A few months back, my wife's 2007 Highlander developed a leak in the sunroof as well, and rather than throw money away on drain cleanings/inspections/etc, I went straight to the permanent solution. She never really used the sunroof anyway. I don't recall what specific caulk I used for the GTI, but this Gorilla variant had a great price when I went looking this time. One tube was more than enough to do the entire sunroof perimeter. I have since traded in both cars, but neither ever leaked again after the caulk application.
