I got this specifically for airplane traveling. The pad is big enough to ensure our six week old isn’t touching the changing station counter in the airport and keeps all the diapers, wipes and creams right at hand. It’s larger than I’d expected which is good for use, but it’s a tight fit in the diaper bag. I may have to keep it separate.The only call out I have is that it does not fold up flat unless you have small or minimal diapers and wipes in it. There is a bulge when trying to close it and it looks bulky.
