Assembly is very simple and straight forward. Based in my experience, you may find these few tips helpful: 1. Read the instructions thoroughly first. 2. Before assembly, arrange the stretcher bars according to the instructions. Once you have them arranged, it's fairly obvious how the bars fit together. 3. Layout the canvas in a clean, flat surface (floor) that is large enough to accommodate the canvas. You will need room to maneuver easily around the piece as you attach it to the bars. 4. You may find it helpful to create a crease line along each side using the printed guidelines to help make a straight crease to help with frame placement. 5.. Assemble the bars with the canvas underneath and use the guidelines on each corner of the canvas to position the frame. 6. The frame will move when you are working on it so double check you have the placement correct. 6. When attaching the canvas to the bars I used a heavy duty staple gun as I found it faster and gave me the ability to easily remove a staple if I needed to correct the positioning of the frame. The nails included will work just fine if you don't have a staple gun. 7. After you are sure of the positioning, use three nails (staples) to attach the canvas. Spread the nails out so there is one in the middle and two on the ends. 8. Check your positioning and attach the opposite side as mentioned above. 9. Repeat in the same manner on the other two sides. 10. When complete, continue to use the remaining nails to attach the canvas in an evenly spaced row. Again, the staple gun really made this fast and easy. 11. Use the wrench (included) to tighten the hex screws as instructed. 12. When attaching the hanging hardware, go no more than about 1/4 down.
