Unfortunately I wore out the heel on 2 previous pair but I walk at least 2-3 miles a day so wear is to be expected! Only problem that bothered me is the sole. The soles on these sneakers hold cinders from the street - very hard to remove the cinders from the soles. Of course when the cinders finally do fall out, it was always in the house! I suggest one pair for outdoors and one pair for indoors.
