They tell you to install the step rails on to the hinges right away - next time I would wait until the end as they make getting under the truck to run the wires and install the lights much harder. 2. They talk about snaking the two wiring harnesses down the passenger and driver side wheel wells. To do the job right you need to pull the front tires and the inner fender wells - they aren't hard to take out and make it super easy to route the wires the right way. 3. To drill the holes for the lights - start with a 1/8" drill bit then use a step drill to enlarge the hole to the correct size. Other reviewers have complained that the rails hit the truck when raised. I didn't have that problem at all on a 2021 Sierra 1500. I took my time with routing the harness for a OEM look under the hood. They work very well. I like how each side works independently to the other.
