Very soft material, slightly silky. The printout is clear with no blurring. It has since covered his body pillow, though he had to add a second(regular 20") pillow into the case. This is due to either my son's bodypillow having incorrect measurements or the case's measurement were off. Either way, he is still quite satisfied, therefore I am as well. We did not even think about returning it. He is just considering buying a larger bodypillow ^.^ For reference, this body pillow is about 5 feet long.
