Swapped out with an old one, still dim. Checked fuses and relays-all OK. Determined it had to be ground issues. Once I went to put my meter on the plug I noticed the ground lead had burnt and melted.Moral of the story: don’t think like I did a higher wattage will make the lights brighter. On the contrary, these were the same brightness as the OEM’s.In my case, I think the higher wattage did nothing but heat up my wires.Luckily, I was able to clean it up and put in an old OEM until I can get a good set of LED’s ordered. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy install - bright white light *by M***6 on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2023* After the disappointment of trying LEDs, I reverted back to a standard halogen bulb. Installation was easy and the bulbs put off a bright white light, much better than the original bulbs that had dimmed over the years. Gave 4 stars for brightness only because they are not as bright as LEDs. I highly recommend these if you don't want to hassle with making LEDs work or having issues with LEDs. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Definite But Not Dramatic Improvement *by A***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 25, 2014* I ordered a set of these bulbs for a 2010 MINI Cooper Convertible. (The MINI OEM halogen lamps are horrible in both low and high beam, which is a design issue. Single bulb High/Low lighting systems never seem to work as well as dedicated High and Low systems do. My 2007 MINI with standard halogen lighting was far superior to the 2010.)These bulbs made a definite improvement, especially in the Low beam setting. One would think that increasing the wattage from 60 to 100 on the High Beam would effect a significant improvement, but that was not the case. Better High Beams than the standard bulb, but not a dramatic improvement.Color is a shade into the blue (at the cost of lower overall illumination). High operating temperatures caused minor discoloration on the headlamp reflector above the bulb itself, but did not appear to affect performance.I strongly recommend an aftermarket ceramic wiring harness to cope with the higher operating temperatures.The first bulb failed after 10,000 miles (roughly 400 hours of use as full-time DRLs.)
