Prior to upgrading my network, everything was 1 gigabit speeds. i upgraded my router to a GE800 TPLink 10Gbps router (EXCELLENT product), added a total of 3 switches to various parts of my house (Mikrotik CRS305) and ran mixed connectivity between all devices, primarily fiber optic cables since they run much cooler than RJ-45 10g SFPs. There were a couple spots where i had to use 10g RJ-45, one being the LAN connection between my router and switch, and another for my OLED tv as it only has 1Gbps connectivity.Anyways, after installation i used iperf3 to run tests on my network. I added a screenshot of my results :). I am very pleased with this QNAP that i have connected to my MacBook Pro Late 2023. I connected via fiber sfp as i had read about people getting overheating with RJ-45 SFPs. I have had no issues whatsoever.
