I hate hats because they never fit right and I look ridiculous in them. I have purchased so many over the years and none ever fit the way I wanted them to. I also never write reviews unless I am very disappointed or very impressed with a product. It stays erect, and sticks straight up above my head. No amount of petting, folding, etc can get it to be “slouchy” as described or shown in pictures.I also don’t know if I believe the materials. Almost all my winter cloths are alpaca, cashmere, or merino wool. This hat feels like 100% man made fibers. It doesn’t have the feel of being even part wool, and the fibers are incredibly shiny in a synthetic way. The label stating the blend in written in another language (looks like Russian????) with no English translation, so I can only go with my educated guess.While the fleece band is nice, I’d rather either get an actual slouchy acrylic beanie for $5, or an actual merino beanie for $30.
