Well Made, but Price Too High.
PROS:1. This is a great top case. So much room and super sturdy construction. Snaps on/off quickly. This is likely some of the best quality you can get on the market. Definitely a great case and durable for sure.2. This Amazon price is likely the best you'll find on this top case anywhere after accounting for shipping - though it's still way too expensive (see #2 below).CONS: Only two real complaints...1. The key cannot be removed when unlocked. Of course you want to ensure the case is locked on the bike before you take off riding, but the lock cylinder could easily have more than two positions (or trust the rider?). It's stupid to not be able to remove the key while it's unlocked, as I find myself needing to do that nearly every time I use the box.2. The price! I know that most quality cases for this type of bike are pretty expensive, but the Givi Outback cases are beyond pricey. If money is not an issue, then these are likely some of the better/best cases you can get. However, they definitely have an inflated price tag. Going with a different brand for the full set of side/top cases + mounting gear, you can save $500-600 USD, though you may not get the same capacity or durability.

You get what you pay for.
There is a saying, "buy once, cry once" and that would apply in this case...the GIVI brand is arguably the best motorcycle cases, proven around the world...yes these are expensive, especially when you have to add the mounting rack and plates, however, this is going to work when you need them to work, they don't leak, they are secure and well, they work as they should, wether you are heading to the corner store in your home town or heading to India...

One of the best boxes on the market
I upgraded from the BMW Vario side cases and the difference is incredible. I think this is one of the best boxes on the market. Installation and removal takes seconds. Build quality is good, and the overall size is huge. There is a limit to the amount of weight you should put in it, so don't be caught off guard thinking that you can fill it with your heaviest gear. I installed mine on a BMW R1200GS which takes a special, high quality bracket. That installation took a little more time and effort, but it, itself is vastly superior to the original plastic baggage rack from BMW. I paired this with the matching panniers and am very happy. The only hassle is that you have to lock the cases to remove the keys. At times that can be a hassle, but overall there may some wisdom in that design. It guarantees that the the case is always securely latched and not accidently left open or improperly attached to the bike.

Givi is the G.O.A.T.
As a daily commuter - the kind that commutes in snow and ice - this is the best top case I've ever used. The smooth rectangle profile with no odd angles absolutely changes the game for what can fit in this (as opposed to say the Givi cases where the handle cuts in to the case area). I have on multiple occasions fit things I legitimately did not know would fit.As with all Givi products, the locking and ability to easily move between multiple motorcycles with the monolock racks is absolute top tier and makes me a fan for life. Although not this one, I have watched a person look at my top and side cases trying to find a way to get in/tear them off (hilariously they were empty) and they held on with no damage until I was able to reach the bike. Now, had they stayed there long enough, I think he may have found a way, but that's true no matter if a bike or car etc. truth be told, since he had no tools I think he may have encountered other bikes with non-blocking panniers before and expected to simply be able to open them and easily walk off with what's inside. I say this because most panniers aren't locking. This top case has of course have never had a problem with water intrusion and its not for lack of trying. I have ridden in countless downpours and never so much as a drop of water has gotten inside. The black powder coat is top notch. It is not easy to scratch and looks amazing. I actually accidentally ordered the black instead of raw aluminum and my wife convinced me to keep it. I agree with her, the looks of the black are much sharper than the aluminum.I carry an LTT backpack which is quite generously sized and even with it absolutely stuffed with as much as it will fit, it fits nicely in this top case. For perspective, this is the maximum size that can be used as a personal item on an airplane - and some airlines might be a bit larger than that.As always you get what you pay for. Givi and cheap can't be said in the same sentence, but the old addage completely applies here - buy once, cry once. For what you're getting, and knowing that it can be used on all of your bikes going forward, it's a fantastic investment that I would strongly encourage any rider to get.

Size and Quality
This is large enough to fit 2 Shoei helmets with externally mounted sena coms. Very positive seal on the lid. Easy to use latch with gloves. Very smooth removal system that has a distinct latching sound. You can remove the key when unlocked and still latch lid (unlike I read in other reviews). Padding is a nice touch. plenty of room to run a set of Aux. lights. Key fits well in a gloved hand, it's like they know.Mounting bracket, bike specific, mounted perfectly. Haven't noticed a drastic enough difference riding when case is empty to mention. Improvement: Larger corner bottoms for stability when used on ground. Cost. Great company making well built products at the high end of range. This should last decades so cost is relative I guess.

Super Beefy Top Case
Quick delivery, extremely well-packaged; kudos to the UK vendor. Top case itself appears VERY rugged, more so than the OEM sidebags it's augmenting. Snaps right into Givi's MonoKey rack plate. Only downside is weight, but that's the price for its burliness & massive capacity.
