These are a great set for the money. Are they Starrett or Mitutoyo? Nope, but they don't miss by much and only in unimportant minor ways. Are they 1/3 the price? Yup. Unless you just have to have the top dog pair, these are a super user set. The display is particularly good. Really clear. They open and move very well. Fit and finish are quite good, as is the sturdy plastic storage case. These calipers are much better than no-name imports, though $30 or so more. Well worth it - these are sweet spot value for money spent tools. Btw, checked them against gage pins and my micrometer. 100% dead on. Even come with a spare battery. I've used them for several months now with no issues so I can't comment yet on long term performance, but I see no reason to doubt they will outlast me. (Keep calipers from any maker clean, and don't drop them, heat them or use them in contact with unknown chemicals.)
