This fits a spigot that has hose threads at the end - specifically I used it for a 2131LF. Easy to install - line up the threads and hand tighten. Water comes out smooth and even instead of wobbly and all over the place. No problem with it fitting a standard garden type male fitting on a laundry faucet. It eliminates any water splashing. I had no leaks as some mentioned. Just make sure the gasket is seated fully in the fitting and install with hand pressure. I did put some silicone grease on the threads for easy removal when needed.
