It’s roughly 1400-1500 cfm?** A: its stainless steel so i do not see why it would not. **Q: Can this be powder coated?** A: I just went outside and looked at mine. I have to wonder why anyone would want to change its' color. However, It would have to be disassembled to paint it. Thee is a metal rod and a spacer on the sides of each louver. I cannot tell whether the spacers are metal, ceramic or a very hard plastic. I suspect that, as and assembly, the unit would not work well after cooking the paint job at 400 degrees F for the appropriate amount of time. It doesn't cost that much. Try one and see what happens. I like the look of stainless steel. **Q: What size are the exterior mounting screws? I want to get the right size toggle bolt for the back.** A: Don't use toggle bolts Stainless wood screws #10 x 1" **Q: I need a dryer vent cover that has screws with 5” distance between them. The dryer vent is 4”. Will the 5” version of this dryer vent work?** A: The answer is both yes and no. Any vent will work if it matches up to the ductwork it is mating with. A five inch duct does not fit into a four inch duct or hole in the wall. You will have to make an appropriate adjustment for it. The screw holes are six and five eight inches apart. Also, I have not seen a vent cover that needed to be attached with screws I used silicon caulk around mine and into the screw holes as well. Even my builder only used caulk when he installed the original plastic vent 10 years ago and it was a chore removing it from the wall. Ditch the screws. This is not just a vent cover. About 12 inches of duct pipe is permantly attached just like the plastic ones.
