Trying to achieve a deep red, almost purple toned look. Please share your thoughts/experiences with the burgundy? TY!** A: The red henna is the most reddest color but its bronze. It's all natural henna. The burgundy likely has indica in it which wouldn't affect your hair color much, I think. If you leave it on your hair for a long duration, though, you should see some deep long lasting results even on darker hair. You could lighten it a bit with apple cider vinegar or with hydrogen peroxide. If you spray a diluted hydrogen peroxide mixture in your hair and leave it for just a bit it should lighten your hair enough to have the henna's red shades really come through :) **Q: Does this dye only my gray hair? I have never dyed my hair and I just want to dye gray hair. Thank you.** A: So far, it has not completely covered my gray hair. I tried three times. The last time, I mixed the dark brown henna with strong coffee, add a little apple cider vinegar, then let it sit for 8 hours. Then I apply the henna and wait 1 1/2 - 2 hours, which is more than the directions say -- they say 1 1/4 hour without heat. I was hoping to be able to use this instead of conventional dye, but I don't have time to leave it on for four hours every six weeks. So I'm not sure what to do. You can easily see my gray roots, although they are a reddish color. They are still not dark brown. I think it might work better if your hair is light brown, but for dark brown, not so great. **Q: can i use rice vinegar instead of using apple cider vinegar?** A: I bought more than one if these, first time use rice vinegar then tried it again w out any vinegar and it worked alittle better **Q: On my short hair almost a full container(this and medium brown)+acv+coffee & none of my greys are even slightly coloured after 3hrs? why???** A: Did you have any conditioner or product in your hair and was it clean and dry?
