This is the latest updated XL21D Xlerator Wheel Stand, Big Boy Lap Bar, has lever Cam lock bolt on knurled slide tube for adjustment. No drilling required, has all of the fasteners included. For use with the following wheels, Logitech G920,G29,G27,G25,GT, Fanatec CSR, 911, GT2, GT3 and Thrustmaster TX, T300, T500 and T80, T150, TMX, any clamp type wheel with slight mod. This stand will not work with any Madcatz wheels. Pedal pan is predrilled for easy mounting of the following pedals, Logitech all, Fanatec CSR and Elite, Fanatec Clubsport V1-V2, Thrustmaster stock gas and brake, Thrustmaster T3PA Pro and T500RS pedals but can only be used in the F1 position, they will not fold up in the stand for storage in GT position. Stand comes with shifter adapters for both Logitech and Fanatec shifters. Separate XL60R adapter is available for G25-920, TH8RS. The pedals will need to be fastened with velcro or predrill screw holes in the pedal pan. IGN.com did a review of the original XL3 stand years ago, if you search online you should be able to find it. You can see how it clamps. The lap bars are the same for all of the stands, the only difference is the width of the (Big Boy-Regular) lap bar. With the XL20-21 stand you will be able to update to the newer wheels with clutch and shifter in the future if you desire. **Q: Will a fanatec csl work on this stand?** A: The Fanatec CSL has a different triangular bolt pattern and will not bolt up to the stand like it is. They show an adapter on the Thrustmaster website that can be bolted to the triangle pattern and adapts it back to the standard 4 bolt rectangular pattern like all of the other Fanatec wheels. With the adapter it will bolt right up to the XL20-21 stand. Now the bad part! Thrustmaster has chosen NOT to make the adapters, they give you an .STL file so you can 3D print one out if you want it. Problem is not everyone has a 3D printer that will handle 8" long piece, it is beyond the limit of most standard 3D printers. There are some companies that you can have stuff 3D printed and sent to you online but don't know how much. Why Fanatec decided to do this is beyond me, you could produce thousands for pennies with injection molding. It probably makes you buy their stand, unless you are handy and can make something. I have heard of guys drilling out the center hole on the XL20-21 lap bar and using the one bolt, but I am not sure how that would work. You could always make something out of metal or aluminum, I have the bolt pattern drawing for everything. If enough interest I can draw and adapter in CAD and have them laser cut out of steel probably cheaper than 3D printing. In the past there just hasn't been enough interest in this wheel (and CSR Elite) because they are so expensive. For the value, reliability and racing enjoyment, hard to beat my beloved G29 and G920. Is the Big-Boy 2" wider or 2" deeper?** A: Please watch the YouTube Video "difference between Regular and Big Boy Lap Bars", it gives the dimensions and talks all about the lap bar extensions. The Big Boy lap bar is two inches wider that is it, will fit people up to about 290-300lbs, the Regular about 220lbs. Lots of times the Big Boy is too wide for chairs with arms, but if you can get the lap bar to wedge in between the arms it hold the stand very secure. They are sturdy, well built and hold my Thrustmaster wheel securely.The stand arrives securely packaged with all the powder coated pieces wrapped in foam to protect the finish. All hardware is bagged and instructions were included. Assembly is straightforward using the included instructions. Total assembly and mounting takes around 30 minutes. The best part are the pre-drilled holes on the wheel and pedal trays; just line the holes up with and secure the base and pedals using the supplied bolts. Zip ties are provided to manage the cables and the stand allows for adjustments to fine tune the fit to suit your needs. I use my stand on a Lazy-Boy recliner and it works perfectly. When not in use the stand folds up with everything attached.I've seen some of the other wheel stands out there; this one should be at the top of the list for consideration. My prior setup was a ancient Logitech Driving Force wheel on a semi-stable folding table. I also bought a Executive Office Chair via a local retailer. Now I am very comfortable as I slam around corners, pedals & wheels not going ANYWHERE. The stand is portable, I move it to the side when I play other games or just watch TV.The reason that I did not buy the racing 'cockpit' chair/stands is that the chair didn't look comfortable for other than racing. I spend about the same, but got a more versatile chairI have a small "man cave/mike's mess" that I play in. The center post design works excellent and is definitely a necessity for a force feedback wheel. I have been using mine now for 6 months and couldn't be happier.
