Worth every penny. I love it!
I’ve been using a Zagg Slimbook keyboard with my iPad mini for several years. I use my iPad and keyboard a lot; it’s very nearly a replacement for a laptop for me. I use it every day, sometimes for several hours every day.I bought a new iPad Pro and almost just bought a new Zagg Slimbook because I had loved my first one so much. I was very reluctant to try any other brand, because I doubted it would live up to the Zagg. I actually had the Zagg Slimbook in my Amazon cart, but kept finding myself going back to look at this one. It was the color, I admit, because it matched my new rose gold color iPad Pro. I got seduced by the color of this one. Of course, I read some reviews first. The reviews all seemed good enough, so I decided to try it, on the assumption I would simply return it if I didn’t like it as well as the Zagg. And to tell the truth, I didn’t expect to like it as much, so I kind of expected I would return it.I can’t believe it, but I love it even MORE than the Zagg. The feel of the keys while I type is perfect for me; just enough mechanical action to get the sensory feedback I need to type really fast, but no noise to speak of. (I’m a touch typist and type something like 85 WPM.). And, of course, since my iPad Pro 10.5 inch is bigger than my previous iPad mini, this keyboard is a bit bigger, so the keys are all more correctly spaced. I guesstimate it’s about 95% of the size of the full-size keyboard on my laptop. I’m pretty sure I’m typing faster on this keyboard than I was on the Zagg that I loved so much.Pairing was painless and fast. (Although the first time I turned off the Bluetooth and turned it on again, I had to re-pair. Hope that doesn’t continue to happen. I’ve only turned it off the one time since I’ve had it.)I’ve only had this a little more than 48 hours, but I’ve been using it a lot (worked almost all weekend) and it’s lived up to every expectation.I also love that you can change the color of the backlighting (the purple is my favorite so far) and that the backlighting has 3 brightness levels. One small complaint is that the right Shift key isn’t exactly where I expect it to be. The up arrow key is where I expect the shift to be. Apparently this is the case on many portable keyboards (although that was not true of my Zagg keyboard. It was in the expected spot on that one.). So I sometimes found myself getting sent back to the beginning of the document (because I accidentally hit the up arrow instead of the shift key.). That happened quite a lot at the beginning and it was frustrating. But I’ve adjusted fairly quickly and am now typing just as quickly as always and hitting the shift key accurately now. It’s a little heavier than I would have preferred, although that may simply be because it’s bigger than my previous Zagg. I didn’t compare the weight of this one to the weight of the Zagg for this size iPad. But for me, this small difference in weight is a minor inconvenience. I’m not carrying it around all that often. The only other place it falls a little short of the Zagg Slimbook is that the case part of the Zagg can be detached from the keyboard so you can carry around just the iPad without the keyboard, but still in a case. This case doesn’t detach from the keyboard, so if you want to use the iPad without the keyboard, you’d have to take it out and it would not be in a case. Again, for me, this isn’t a problem. I never did that with the Zagg; I just don’t use my iPad that way. I use it like a laptop. But I can see how this might be a problem for some people.I really love this keyboard. As long as you understand all the pros and cons as described above, don’t hesitate to buy it. It’s less expensive than the Zagg, and for me, it’s actually better. (But if you can’t live with the above cons, the Zagg Slimbook is a really, really good option, too. I loved that one a lot. It’s ONLY downside was the tiny size, but that was for my iPad mini, so I assume the one for the iPad Pro would be larger, like this one. It has reasonably good action on the keys, it’s a bit lighter (I assume), and as mentioned, you can detach the case from the keyboard. And the shift key is where you expect it to be.)FYI - I did NOT receive any kind of compensation for this review (no free product, etc.). It’s my completely independent review.

Great case and Excellent customer service
UPDATED: Customer service saw my review and contacted me. They said Amazon must have shipped me a bad return or something and apologized. They overnight shipped me a brand new one free of charge. The new one is flawless and works perfectly. It looks so amazing on my rose gold iPad and the keys are a great feel and perfectly spaced for fast typing. Not a single one sticks or has an issue. The different lighting variations really help me with the day to night usage. When you fold the keyboard down the iPad sleeps which is helpful for me as I like using it like a laptop. The range of the clamshell style keyboard is the broadest of any I have found. I am extremely impressed that they found me and made the effort to replace my first keyboard. Five star product and five star company!!! I really love the look, lightweight feel, thinness and keyboard of this case. I want to give it more stars but I was disappointed my rose gold case came with scratches and scuff marks. Not huge ones but it took away from the new feel of the case. Like I bought a used one. Also the “t” key wasn’t working but I did repeatedly type it until it finally made a “t” on the screen. Now it works so maybe it was a glue issue. Lastly I have two number 9 keys instead of a 9 and a 0 so it is a manufacturing mistake. The typing works (9 and 0) so this is just the wrong key put on. Cosmetic but again for the price I feel like I wished these things had been remedied. Not sure if the hassle of returning and not having a keyboard for another couple of weeks (I live in Hawaii where returns to Amazon are a pain and slow) is worth it but if ONHI wants to do something in response to this review I will happily update. On a positive note the rose gold is gorgeous and allows me to enjoy the rose gold color of the iPad 10.5 Pro I bought. Connecting to the Bluetooth was quick and easy. I have had no lag time or delay with typing. Yes the delete key right underneath the lock button is giving me typing problems but I think I will get used to it. The key strokes are light and pleasant to work with. The angle of the iPad is perfect. The colors of the backlight are beautiful. Hopefully this case will hold up well for the price.

Backlit function not operating.
although the detail specifications show the backlit function availability the same is not found on the keyboard. The model was selected after studying the details specifications so wee needs immediate attention of the manufacturer to guide us to make backlit function operational.

Arrived really promptly
For the money it does the job but there's a reason why the apple equivalent costs twice the price -- it feels very plastic-y and cheap but again, for the price, it does the job
