The included bulb is a warm incandescent, dim for any application in my opinion. If you have other lights around it will be fine. Great for a night light ambiance, but not to be the work light above my kitchen sink. I'm ordering the 3pk LED 60W daytime clear lenses vintage looking filament off here. Beautiful light fixture.Easy install. I have installed many new light fixtures before, but just a heads up it comes with a green ground wire in the same insulator sleeve with your black and white wire, as well as a bare copper ground wire. If you have a ground wire coming out of ceilings electrical box, green connected here and bare to ground screw on provided bracket. If you dont have a ground wire from your electrical box, as I did not; wrap the middle of bare copper wire to ground screw and tighten down.
