This is a custom made extension cable Compatible for z-5400 z-2300 z-5500 z-5300 z-5450 z-906 z-680 z-623 Computer Speakers Control Pod This cable does not work on the Z623 speakers as the nuts and bolts are not compatible. The cable is 6ft long, for longer length, multiple cables can be combined. Here's a length chart: 1 cable = ~ 6ft 2 cables = ~ 12 ft 3 cables = ~18 ft 4 cables = ~ 24 ft

Review: Z-5500 does the job to extend the cable! - excellent! i tried several VGA cables to extend Z-5500 controller with no luck, seemed like they would since the ends were identical, not so. either weird things happened with the front right channel, or the unit didnt power up. with this cable everything works as it should and the cable hold downs are even correct. It did produce a very slight high frequency sound when in use but nothing too bad.
Review: Do not buy this piece of crap. - This cheap piece of garbage is a waste of money. I bought this cable as an extension to my Logitech Z623 subwoofer sound system for my computer. I love the speakers themself but the cable isn’t long enough. The cable looks like a VGA cable BUT it’s not. I repeat you can not use a VGA cable, I did my research which is why I bought this cable. It specifically says it is an extension cable for the Z623. I get the cable quickly, I go to install it and the connectors are backwards. And when I say backwards, I mean the connector screws that hold the cables together. The side with the screws you can still use but you can’t secure it. In my setup I could have over looked this, However the other end has the female nut part which is now on both sides. You can’t remove them and the connectors will not mate with those screws in place. I have worked with electronics for many years. I try to just remove the nuts but the connector broke in my hands. I assume not all of their cables are backwards but the QA folks were sleeping the day this one was turned out. I just tossed the cable and took a $16 loss. Sometimes you get what you pay for and this was my time to get burned. I can’t comment on if the cable would have worked or not, if it hadn’t had the connector problems. So zero stars from me and I hope I’ve saved someone from having the same experience. I read the comments before buying and it had good reviews but they not getting anymore of my money and I broke the connector trying to fix their crap so it’s a total loss for me.

excellent! i tried several VGA cables to extend Z-5500 controller with no luck, seemed like they would since the ends were identical, not so. either weird things happened with the front right channel, or the unit didnt power up. with this cable everything works as it should and the cable hold downs are even correct.
