Here the C60 is listed as 99.71% pure for $79.50/gram while another is listed as 99.98% for $137.50/gram. That last bit of purity comes at a cost of almost $21,500/gm. Is it really worth it?From my research, the main thing present from the initial creation of C60 is C70. Reports about C70 indicate that it has some antioxidative properties but is not as good as C60, and I found no reports of any harmful effects. Another consideration is the purification or extraction method. I saw one complaint here about a solvent smell in their sample. When I received my product, I sniffed it but could detect no solvent smell. Even if there were some small amount, how much does it matter?We live in a contaminated toxic world with all kinds of substances coming in contact with us to various degrees. Accepting the listed purity level of 99.7% as correct, then how much solvent could be present? Part of the other materials present is most likely C70 up to 0.3%, or for a 1.00 gram sample 0.003 gm with anything else being less than this amount. How much volatile organic compounds, VOC, do we take in routinely by breathing in some vapors while filling the gas tank or smelling the vapors from drying paint or the use of common cleaning products? Also remember that this exposure is spread out over the time that we are using this sample of C60.When I saw the amount of time being recommended to dissolve the C60 in oil using a magnetic stirrer I looked for other ways of getting the C60 dissolved. I found a process using an ultrasonic cleaner. It indicated a much shorter time for completion, so I decided to give that a try and bought an ultrasonic cleaner. I worked very well, and the time needed was reduced to about an hour. I decided to use a less than a saturated solution of C60 to help insure that some of th C60 didn’t drop out of solution due to temperature changes and hopefully reduce the time needed to dissolve all the C60, and to compensate I would just use more oil each time. For a saturated solution of 0.8 gm/L, 1.25 L of oil would be required for 1.0 gm of C60. I decided to dissolve the 1.0 gm of C60 in 1.5 L of oil, so I got a cleaner with a 2L tank.I decided to use avocado oil rather than olive oil because I had read that it is less harsh. I poured the oil into the tank and added the gram of C60. At first it sat on top of the oil but began, bit by bit, to sink to the bottom of the oil. Upon turning on the sonic function, streams of purple color began to rise from the bottom with the streams looking much like convection currents. After a short time, the entire volume of oil had a dark color, and I couldn’t see the bottom of the tank. I ran the sonic function for an hour. Dissolution appeared complete after one half-hour cycle, but I decided to keep the device running for another half hour to be sure.I believe that the time to dissolve the C60 is much shorter using the ultrasonic cleaner because the little shock waves passing through the oil shakes the small clumps of particles of C60, breaking them apart and bringing them in better contact with the oil. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Promptly and in Good Order *by L***H on Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2021* This came all the way from the Netherlands and arrived much faster than expected.
