I knew they were cheap, so I wasn't expecting something amazing, but they were still a little underwhelming. The sharks came with chipped paint and bent fins (they are a thick rubber, so I assume they will regain their normal shape once out of a cramped bag for a while). My biggest concern is that everything in the bag seemed to be coated in a thin film of sand... It gave me the impression that I bought used toys instead of new, and someone just dumped them in a bag after a day at the beach. Everything was gritty and unpleasant to touch. I assume they will wash just fine, but still not what one expects with a brand new toy. Maybe the weighted seaweed things are filled with sand and were leaking? They rattled as if filled with sand or small rocks. Last observation is that the gems are hollowed out on one side, and not solid. My mom saw them and asked if they'd even sink. They're so light. We will see.
