Whould he be able to chew through it easily?** A: If a dog has a consistent behavior of chewing up objects or is not trained to be comfortable in a crate, definitely wouldn’t recommend a soft crate like this one. When we first got the travel crate, we left it out open in the living room & put her comfy bed in it, to allow our dog to investigate it while supervised in case she started to dig or chew at it. Our dog is crate trained, so after she explored it, she quickly took to it & would go in it to take naps during the day. We did this weeks before we went on our first trip with her & used the crate as her bed on our travel. **Q: What is the size of this crate when it is fully collapsed?** A: The size of the bottom everything else collapse down.. She was well loved by her first family. I noticed right away that she always breathes loudly while riding in the car. I thought it was due to the temperature. But with max AC and later on a drop in a the temperature, she still does that. The I realized that she was anxious.I tried soft music, calming chews, calming hoodie, holding her hand while she rides in the front passenger seat, and a combo of two or three of the above... She starts panting as soon as I start the engine. She also keeps looking out from the backseat. Is this a sensory issue, that there's too much going on, the sound, the movement of my car, and all the other things moving outside...? Only one way to find out.This soft crate fits in the backseat of my small SUV behind the driver. It definitely helped, she wasn't panting as hard as before. I left the front curtain rolled up because I thought it was important for her to see/feel me. When it got cold in December, I decided to cover the front which means only the entry way is viewable. It made the situation ten times better. It was a sensory issue.Someone here was asking about securing it to the car. The crate has a top handle-loop and four small loops on the bottom for stakes. You can use the hook up the bottom loops (close to the seatback) to the seatbelt buckle using the tethers.
