I was reluctant at first to pay near on £30 for a plate but trust me, it’s worth it.None of the cheaper ones worked and didn’t even fit the base. This one is sturdy. Fits perfectly. Has rubber lines to protect the base of the camera from friction and scratching. Took it out for a spin over the weekend and certainly pleased with the purchase.Tells you on the underside which way to place the camera (it says lens with an arrow pointing in the direction it should be)Overall pleased and happy so far. Just screw this into your camera tripod socket and leave it there, for instant mounting and dismounting to your Manfrotto (or Arca-Swiss style) tripod or monopod heads.Didn't one come with each of my tripods? Sure, each came with plates - though this one is the same as the BeFree version. More to the point, I have more than one camera, as well as a spotting scope and binocular mount. Don't get me wrong it's a decent enough quick release plate & it does work for me on my various Head Units that I needed it to do but over twenty quid for a little rectangular peice of plastic is just a rip off :( If it was 15 quid I'd not be complaining but it isn't so I am ! Come on Manfrotto your products are expensive enough without totally ripping people off with this 20 quid little lump of plastic Pfff.Rant over, apart from the price it's great at what it does in that it allows me to go from a Manfrotto PL200 Ball head to a Vanguard Swiss Arca Ball head & also even to my Horusbennu Swiss Arca Ball head too all without the need to change the Camera's quick release plate...
