It's a breathable skirt that you can tie around yourself so it's adjustable. But I'm so glad I pulled the trigger. The trick is knowing just how to wear it. There's a small hole on one side for ypu to put one of the strings through and wrap it around yourself. Align the slit towards the side of one leg instead of the middle and most importantly, make sure you wrap it around your actual waist, above the belly button. (Think high waisted jeans and where they come up to.) If you wrap it below your belly buttone towards your hips, it will make you look wide. I'm 5'5 ½ and weigh around 135-140lbs and got a size small. (I udually wear a size 4 or 6). Super comfy and fits perfectly.
