I'm a 24 year old guy college student and a very huge fan of both MLP:FIM and EqG. The story in this book continues where EQG 3: Friendship Games ends in fact it begins with a recap where we get to see SciTwi and Princess Twilight Sparkle talk a little bit more then in the actual movie. Yay! <3 Overall, the story of the book is pretty good it teaches what the main show teaches but in a teenager setting where peer pressure is a big thing. It reminds readers that you could be friends regardless if you have differing likes, ideas, and loves.My favorite part is the forgiveness and inclusion portion where SciTwi includes her ShadowBolt Friends to her slumber party even if they weren't the best people around her. The one thing I didn't like about the book and the whole EQG series in general is that clicks, gossip, and general bullying themes in it. I know it's important to let kids know that bullying exists and that you have to deal with it, but being my age I kinda wanted the EQG series to focus on just female companionship and slice of life which what made me a fan of this iteration of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It's refreshing to see in the pony world, but the inclusion of bullying in the EQG spin off series is a turnoff. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ No editor *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2018* I love these books and the series, but it's becoming more and more apparent that there is no editor! On page 8 it reads "In fact, at the end of the Friendship Games, she had turned into the won stevous Midnight Sparkle."I looked up won stevous. I had to what was Perdita Finn trying to tell us. Somehow... She misspelled monstrous to... won stevous. HOW?! How did that slip through the cracks? If there was or is an editor... How did they not catch that?Other than that. I love the books (both series) but I would love if they would also throw in some other authors. The person who wrote "The Stormy Road to Canterlot" was simply a joy to read! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Anti-Bullying Theme! *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2017* I appreciate My Little Pony's way of letting the reader know that it's OK to be afraid. For example, the topic of going on a sleepover. It can be scary staying overnight in someone else's home. One character speaks up to tell everyone that she had to have her parent's come get her. Another, admits that she likes to host parties at her house, because she's still uncomfortable staying overnight someplace else.
