The 500ml/16-ounce size is so versatile - it can be used for leftover vegetable's, jam, sugar, applesauce...whatever you need it for. I will be ordering a few more. Note: The Le Parfait jars are not some carnival or dollar store item, this is a quality made jar and the clip/flip locks are tight, as it should be. Don't be like those people in those videos and just slam the lock into place with one finger, that's not how it was designed to be used (and who's finger is that strong anyway? mine need backup from the thumb, at least) - be careful with it and slowly guide it into locking position with thumb and palm of hand up against the jar for leverage. I am usually holding the jar in one had and guiding the flip lock into place with the other - slam the lock down too hard (why would you do that?) and you run the risk of cracking the glass and then you're going to be one of those people complaining about how the glass broke/cracked...really? how could that have had happened?! sheesh. All I'm saying is, take care of it and it will last. It's just common sense. After a thorough handwash and dry, the seals on both jars went on with a bit of effort but they went into place, no problem. Le Parfait makes a quality item and I'm completely happy with my purchase. Also, you know it’s legit from the manufacturer because they will put a special tape with their brand on the outside of the box. They will also pack the product secure inside the shipping box so it’s well padded and does not move around. We received an order from a third party seller where the product was literally stacked their sides on top of each other and only protected by a thin bubble wrap. The product could easily roll around inside. One of the glasses shattered in transit. This is not only inconvenient, it’s unsafe. Luckily desertcart support gave us a full refund and we did not have to return the box (which was leaking glass shards). We also had an issue with 2 of the shipments where stickers were put on the glass and it takes a long time getting them off with alcohol and dish soap. Again not an issue when we bought from the manufacturer. Some of these sellers need to up their game, this type of shipping is irresponsible. As for the product itself, it’s great. Looks great, sturdy, and being able to clean the rubber seal is easy.
