The original name of the dessert is “Mango black rice sweet in the snow”. As its name suggests, the dessert is made from cooked black rice, served with mango and coconut milk. The black rice is mixed with jaggery. It’s sweet, gooey, and has a nice fragrance of grain. To make this dish, once FOR8 Black Rice is cooked as per recipe mentioned on package - add coconut milk, jaggery, fresh mango/ banana/ any other fruits. You can also top it up with nuts and seeds as per your liking to make it a wholesome healthy bowl. FOR8 Black Rice is an indigenous, traditionally grown variety of Black Rice grown in Manipur. Black Rice with Zuchini, Capsicum, Walnuts and Herbs Cook FOR8 Black Rice as per instructions on the package. Heat olive oil over a medium–low heat in a large sauté pan. Add garlic, onion and capsicum. Cook gently, without browning, for 10–12 minutes until the onion is translucent. Add the paprika and thyme. Cook for a further 2 minutes before adding the vinegar and sea salt. Add the cooked black rice, zucchini and walnuts. Cook for 3 minutes until hot. Not too long as you want the zucchini to still have a little crunch. Stir through the parsley, mint and feta. Season with cracked black pepper.

My go to forbidden rice brand. I love adding a handful to white rice and cooking it together to get purple rice. It's wholesome, fragrant and yummy with any kind of curry. You can also cook the rice by itself and eat it as a yummy dessert by drizzling condensed milk over the rice and adding cashews fried in butter.
