The material dries quickly, the drain holes help keep puddles from forming and the texture keeps them from being slippery, whether barefoot or in socks once dry. There’s absolutely zero cushion and the material is pretty rigid so if you have tender feet they may be a bit uncomfortable walking around in without cushy socks. My foot is wide in the toebox area so I’d like it if they flared out a bit in the front, but I’d still prefer the loop be a little less tall, because even though it squeezes the sides of the front of my foot, I still slide around a bit, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The upside to that is it accommodates them handshaking(?) well if I throw them in a bag so they don’t swim around in it separately.
