I got size 3 for my elderly smallish Dalmatian and it fits just right. The central band is nice and strong and the robust rings are solidly stiched-in. To this inside and either side of the central band is a velvety-fleece, which is also firmly stiched in. The nice thing about this is how soft it is, yet even on the inside, hair does not seem to adhere to it. The green is a lovely bright spring-like colour and the multi-striped band is very funky. You need to remember there is no adjustment, the minimum measurment is what you get when the lead pulls on the collar, the maximum is when it is slack. Remember, you don't want to choke your pup, but you do want it toi be secure. Also this has to slip on over the head/ears, so make up a band at the maxmimum to test that you will be able to get it on. I like it, and am considering buying another in a different colour. The comfort will be great if you like to leave on your dog indoors as well as when you go out. The only caveat for me would be if it gets soaking wet on a walk, you may want to take it off to dry. This is the size 1 which fits him beautifully, we had originally ordered the size 2 and it was a little loose. I love it so much!!! Its so soft and gorgeous and incrediblely well made!!! Its just perfect!!! The sizing are very accurate, the materials are very high quality. I just wish I'd found it years ago, my longboy's been on a nasty chain half check as he has a nateral proclivity to slip and murder everything😳 and nothing but a choke/check can hold a pointy one once it wants to go!! But this is so unbelievablely soft and comfy, he wears it all the time even, but it's strong and sturdy enough for odd mummies little psycho moments.
