"Body Contouring Without Surgery..." by Dr John Zannis is an excellent book on the mechanics of the coolsculpting procedure. The book is a good resource for explaining the benefits and realistic expectations of the procedure in implementation.Coolsculpting is not for morbidly obese patients. People who carry too much weight should lose some weight through dieting and exercise before doing this procedure. A technique called intermittent fasting can result in a considerable weight loss because the patients eat later in the day after early morning metabolic processes reduce fat on essentially an empty stomach. Intermittent fasting allows the body to burn fat before consuming food so that the metabolic processes can operate in full gear.Cryolypolysis removes fat cells using a thin film and applicator. A vacuum removes fat in the area of the applicator. The cool core removes fat from the abdominal area. Overall, this book is helpful for patients considering this procedure seriously. Dr John Zannis MD explains realistic expectations and other options to take before using this treatment.
