Cat seems to like it way better over one of the brushes with the small metal tines. My suggestion is to try to groom/pet them as much as possible before cleaning. Groom them and when it's obvious any extra hair isn't being picked up by the glove then try and peel off the hair in a sheet. Almost like a dryer sheet. Then go back and groom them again. If there isn't much hair on the glove I think it retains it's static charge and the hair doesn't really want to come off. You need a lot of hair to pull off in a sheet. Hard to describe really.
