**Q: Can you sanblast paint off wooden columns?**
A: That depends on medium used and air pressure

**Q: how much sand do you need to blast rust off a car frame**
A: It depends on the size of the frame and the amount of rust. If you use red garnet blasting medium you can actually reuse it several times.  But you will need to have tarps and stuff on the ground so you don’t sweep up a bunch of other stuff when you recycle it back into the blaster. You can fit 80-90 pounds in the hopper at one time. So at least start with two bags. But if it’s large or really rusty and you don’t want to make a run to store mid project I’d buy 4-6 bags and just return any unopened ones.  But I also haven’t seen your project so that’s a guess.

**Q: Will it work for automotive paint sandblasting? Or should I buy heavier duty?**
A: It will work great for that, thats what I use it for. 
 Mainly depends on the media that you use.  Aluminum oxide works great for stripping stubborn coatings.  Lately I have been using 80 grit garnet sand.  Takes time but leaves a good paintable finish. 
 Manufacturer states not to use coarser than 80 grit.

**Q: Will it work with walnut shells**
A: I don't know but I would doubt it unless they are ground up fine.
