Review: Great Pipe! Bowl burns a bit hotter - I love this Churchwarden pipe. I had actually bought mine quite a while ago with the Tree of Gondor engraved on it. The bowl tends to burn pretty hot. It would be easy to burn right through if you’re not careful. It can even start to sweat, and some of the stain may come off on your hand. I’ve tried to build up a decent cake on the inside to help remedy it, but it can still burn pretty hot. I think it may be best as more of a prop for cosplay, or even just a collector’s item. It’d be a shame to burn up such a wonderful pipe, so I tend to smoke my other pipe more often than this Churchwarden. That being said, I still can’t bring myself to give it anything less than 5 stars, because it IS still a wonderful pipe! Again, mine was bought quite a long while ago, so maybe since then this has been fixed with these newer ones. When you wash the pipe paint goes off with water. Would not smoke with it nor would I buy it again.
