Review: Oe fit - No modifications needed to mount on passenger inner fender well. 2000 f250 7.3 Purchased along with a new starter . Works great.
Review: A good starter solenoid - I bought this because I over tightened the solenoid on my Deere and broke the stud off. I was getting confused with this new one because it came with four terminals and I broke this one too. I wanted to just order another one but the cost went from ten to sixteen dollars in the buy it again option. Anyways, I found another supplier on the same page. I wanted to share that the problem with these is that they'll break if you over tighten them. BUT. If you add another nut and hold the first nut with a wrench. You can secure the cable to the terminal without putting the torque on the solenoid. You'll keep yourself from over-tightening and breaking the post. I had to grind down a 1/2" wrench to less than the thickness of the nut but it worked great. Try putting the cables on before you mount it too. Easier to get the wrenches on those nuts. I hope this helps you. My machine is a 110 John Deere from the late 60's.

**Q: Is this a continuous duty?**
A: Yes

**Q: What are the amp ratings on this? continuous and momentary. looking to use it for a battery disconnect on a silverado that i don't drive much.**
A: I'm not sure, but I do not recommend this product. The terminal broke the moment I tightened it down. I ended up going to the local auto parts store and getting a much better quality one there.

**Q: Would this work for a mustang v6 standard?? thanks**
A: depends on the year. Later model mustangs it won't. But I wouldn't recommend this solenoid anyway - one of the posts broke clean off as I was installing. Went to Napa Auto Parts and got a much better version for about the same price.

**Q: finished installing, started car, starter motor would not stop running, had to pull the battery cable. Anyone else have this problem?**
A: The two small wires... one runs to the switch and activates the starter... the other runs to the coil so as to give you a full 12v at startup... I have had them short out to the ground and burn up the condenser...it could have just as easy short out to the hot and keep feeding power to the coil... bypassing the ignition... eventually it will overheat the coil because it has to high of voltage
