It's a Fender. *by B***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2015* I have never bought a guitar online before but I had been playing this bass in music stores for awhile. While most people would say they would want to try the actual instrument before buying it, I took a risk given the quality of Fender, and Amazon's return policies. I was a little nervous because guitars/basses can need some setup out of the box, but after talking with Fender they said little setup is needed. Fender was right, the guitar was set up almost perfectly, I needed to slightly adjust the truss rod which straightens the neck, and raise the strings a little bit (my preference). I had never done either before but there a many videos on you tube explaining how to do it. Totally easy. It sounds scary but there are also instructions in the manual that comes with the bass that explains what you need to do. Most new guitars need this sort of tune up (as do older guitars) because wood shifts slightly in different temperatures and humidities.The also bass came with a great solid travelling case with TSA compliant lock and key, and Fender goodies like a strap, cleaning cloth, and hex wrenches to raise string action, change string length for intonation, and a truss rod adjustment.The bass sounds awesome! I love playing it. The wood grain is beautiful with a nice glossy finish. It really looks like a work of art.
