My experience with Makita tools is they are well made, and they have outdone themselves with this easy-to-transport little saw. I was also able to easily get an assortment of blades that were very inexpensive, probably because they are small (3-3/8" diameter). Review: Amazing cutting power for size - I have an older 9v mini saw that was my father's. Doing some light work repairing things on the house it was the perfect size for what I needed but the old blade was very bad off. This replacement is not only perfectly able to fit tglhe older model saw, it's teeth and overall design make cutting through plywood and softwood like butter.
