I may have been able to out the insole in the 8.5 size instead of 9, but this way I can wear thicker socks. I don't think that those boots will last forever as the construction does not seem that sturdy but they will do for a few years. AND, there’s plenty of room in the toe of the shoe to accommodate a mildly bulky sock!!
