**Q: This is probably the stupid question but how would you use this as a double line?**
A: I’m not sure what your asking but offer this. It comes with a hook and also a pulley/hook combo as shown in the picture. If you intent to use it single line you leave the combo unit off. If you wish to use the double line you connect the single hook to a hole on the upper frame and install the pulley hook. 
Single operation is half the double line capacity of the hoist. 
Side note, I have two of these and they have been stellar so far.

**Q: Can this be mounted to a cherry picker?**
A: I'm say yes, IF you can feed it 110V electricity, and IF the cherry picker with you in it, plus the weight of the hoist, is rated for all those pounds...

**Q: What is the duty cycle of this hoist?**
A: 2 min On 8 min Off

**Q: What is the actual cable diameter in american terminology?  the listed 0.17 simply does not compute here. just say "it's 5/16" or "it's 8mm" ??**
A: I’d estimate it’s either 1/4” or 5/16” max. I have actually measured mine though.

I didn't install it myself but it seemed to go in fast. We have a storage loft over our she shed. This makes it incredibly easier to put things up their for us. We downsized recently and have a ton of stuff. This makes it easier to get it up and down instead of using a ladder!
