I got a recommendation to try them from my Curology provider (still unsure whether I’m loving their custom cream mix, but they have recommended a great face wash and now these patches, so if nothing else I’ve gotten some great info out of them). I have very sensitive acne-prone skin and am in my late 20s. The worst my acne gets is around my period (yay hormonal acne) and although it does take a bit longer to work for deeper pimples (think ~3 nights of using them vs overnight for your typical whitehead) these bandages actually bring those red, I-know-it’s-going-to-be-a-zits to a head in just a few nights. I haven’t had any scars since I started using these patches which is frankly a miracle because I have very pale skin that’s prone to getting those awful red marks that are a reminder of the acne you just had.I’ve tried a few brands of the hydrocolloid bandages but so far this brand by AUSLKA is my favorite. The patches themselves are very thin and transparent so they’re not noticeable when you wear them unless you look really hard. That is, unless you’re like me and accidentally bend one side of the patch every time you peel one off—then that side is forever creased, stuck to itself, and a touch more obvious. That’s really my only complaint, that they can be a pain to peel off without creasing. Otherwise, they have great adhesive and even if you want to wear one all day and night, through washing your face again (please put these on a freshly washed face, btw), these patches are not going to come off. That being said, they aren’t really painful to peel off. I’d liken it to peeling a regular old sticker or even a piece of tape off of your face.It’s pretty cool because while the patches go on clear, as I said, once you peel them off they have a white cloudy tint to them from all the gunk they’ve sucked off your face. I can’t tell you the science behind it, but I can tell you these babies work. The patches are very thin so not very noticeable when on (until they turn white, obviously). I've worn them under makeup on spots around my chin & hairline and had no one notice during a full work day.They stay on very well! Better than any other patches I've tried. If I put one on my back at night and forget to take it off the next morning, I almost always end up finding it when I shower that night. And they don't rub off onto clothes or sheets so I don't have to pick them off my laundry before washing.The patches have to go on clean, dry skin. Damp skin or skin with a lot of products on it (serums, moisturizers, etc) messes with the adhesion. I lightly wipe off any spots with a cotton round before I put the patches on.I highly recommend these if you pick at spots. They provide a barrier to prevent you from doing it mindlessly and help keep spots clean and sanitary after you've messed with them, too. I like that there isn't any salicylic acid in the patches so I don't have to worry about additional irritation, especially since I use prescription acne medication.These reduce inflammation and size in whiteheads and other raised bumps. I tried 2 the first time because I will say they are much smaller than I thought they would be only reason I gave a 4 other than that they blend super well can't even tell your wearing them, but since you do have to wear for 12 hours the best time is before bed and then to sleep in them and wear for as long as you can the next morning too, 12 hours is a bit much but they can even be worn or blended in with make up not that I recommend because I did notice I couldn't really talk or move my mouth too much or they easily would try and come off , but I will say I definitely noticed a difference and will continue to use these just wish they were a little bit bigger and more came in a box !!
