But, after a couple washings, I don't even notice it. This canteen has really helped us become less dependent on bottled water. I purchased a PUR water pitcher for our refrigerator and now we just fill up our canteens on the way out the door on the way to work, the gym, etc. I prefer my water cold or room temperature but without ice. Others had expressed concern about how the canteen will sweat if there is ice inside. This IS TRUE! If you're looking for something that will not sweat, this is not the item for you.
