The device can be slid out the side of the box for troubleshooting or wiring. With a little bit of an adjustment to the placement of the instrument a 25 amp SSR would fit the box nicely. My 4 amp OPTO 22 SSR has plenty of room. The device sticks slightly outside of the box due to the angle of the side, but because of the recess in the lid it fits perfectly. The instrument I have installed is protruding 96mm inside the box. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The enclosure worked OK *by R***B on October 11, 2024* The enclosure was easy to work with and sealed up very good to hold a circuit I made to fit inside the enclosure ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This cast aluminum enclosure is an excellent mounting for a 250 watt 12vdc to 24 vdc converter. *by J***S on March 9, 2025* This is a sturdy cast aluminum enclosure with a cover. I used it to enclose a 12 volt to 24 volt DC converter to run my wife's Omron portable oxygen concentrator while in the car using the 12 volt cigarette lighter outlet. I drilled holes for air input and installed a 30 mm diameter fan for cooling, which was probably not necessary as the same 250 watt converter I installed in the second car had no fan, just two cooling holes. The only problem with this case is that I had to cut the threads for the #6 machine screws holding on the cover as the aluminum was too hard for the screws to cut their own threads. For that problem I deducted one star. The MGGi DC Boost Converter Regulator also from Amazon fit nicely. The whole unit fits under the passenger seat with the two cords cut to convenient lengths for the connections to cigarette liter in the back and concentrator in the from. Although the Omron portable will work from direct 12 volts from the cigarette lighter socket, the 24 volts from the converter also allows the battery to recharge while the concentrator is on full output. Its is out of sight, but does look professional.
