I ordered this by recommendation and it had 4 1/2 stars so I didn't bother reading the reviews. I can tell you I'm very pleased, it is absolutely beautiful. So, so soft and so plush. I'll have to see how it launders (I don't like to use anything before washing it first) but I'm more than satisfied from the look and feel and can't wait to cozy up with it. The day before delivery I read the 1 and 2 star reviews and all complained of the horrible smell and I panicked. When the package arrived I sat it aside at first in fear of opening it. When I finally opened the box I stuck my nose in to smell because apparently the others were so pungent they permeated the packaging. I still didn't smell anything so I unwrapped it and put the blanket near my nose and breathed a sigh of relief. I'm happy and relieved to say the odor was not my experience. 🤗 If you're considering purchasing this I highly recommend it!
