So I'm not sure if the regular model is built this well, but I don't really see why someone wouldn't order the HD model for just a few dollars more.It arrived quickly, but apparently the box broke open during shipping and UPS taped it back up. I was really worried about opening it up, but Libby in customer service was wonderful. She was willing to send me a label to return it and ship out a new one, but I decided to open it up and check it out before we went that far. There were no problems with the unit, which is a testament to its durability. One of the axles had popped out, but the wheels/axles are designed to pop out easily for replacement, so it only took about 3 seconds to pop it back in. Libby contacted the manufacturer just to make sure I would be OK in the long run, and they confirmed no problem.It folds up relatively easily--just practice at home a few times before you go out with it. Obviously it is not designed to be a cross-country wheelchair, and I really do not believe it would do well going off pavement. I understood that before I bought it, but seeing it really confirms that. My wife said it feels comfortable without adding a cushion to it, so we will try it that way first. Again, this is designed as a short-term transport chair for ease in traveling. My first impression was, "This chair is well made and built for travel." Except for the footrests, the wheelchair comes fully assembled. The carry bag seems well-made and durable and the chair stores easily inside the bag. I found setting up the wheelchair easy. The wheelchair's frame is sturdy and pushes easily, especially with the larger wheels. My wife expressed that she felt very secure and comfortable in the chair. However, we had an issue with the adjustable footrest, the screw-head stripped easily with the supplied tool when we were adjusting one of the legs. Amazon connected me to Fenetic Wellbeing USA and their representative called me the next day. The representative was very professional, understood the problem and sought to resolve my issue. Within three business days (shipped California to New York), I received a new adjustable footrest. That was unbelievably fast service--impressive! The new footrest adjusted perfectly and with ease. This is a great product backed by quality professional support. I highly recommend this chair for anyone whose travels will take them over sidewalk, grass, or gravel.
