Review: Excellent as long as you use a separate seatbelt - The dog loves this, she gets less stressed when travelling and is now excited to get in the car. She is a small cocker spaniel (about 12kg) and it fits her perfectly. Seems to be comfortable, very easy to set up, takes 2 seconds to wrap the seatbelt around it. Good quality, definitely well made, had it for about a year now and it’s still going strong. Cover is removable so very easy to clean. The only thing I don’t like is that it has a plastic clip for your dog - this is not a safety device and is purely for your dogs comfort and to protect your seats. I cannot emphasise strongly enough how important it is that you do NOT use this as a seatbelt. The plastic clip is maybe adequate for stopping small dogs from jumping out of the bed but will provide zero protection in the event of a crash - you should be using a separate crash rated harness and a matching attachment. You can get some that loop through seatbelts however they can slightly interfere with the seatbelt holding down the bed. We use one that clips into the points used for a baby car seat. If you don’t use the proper kit you are putting yourself and your dog in more danger as they will go flying through the car in the event of a crash if not properly secured. 5 stars as it is an excellent dog bed, 0 stars for safety if used on its own. They love this car seat, without it they do not like being in the car and stress out as they move about a lot. With this car seat they are window level so can look out and are extremely stable. Most of the time within 10 minutes of driving they are asleep. Brilliant car seat, never seen any others like it.
