It turned out to be woven threads and looks fantastic. We needed something to hang over a door to the backyard that the dogs would go through (they're kind of wimpy about that) and would keep the flies out. This screening method has been used in the tropics for years and it is very effective.We installed a curtain rod on the outside of the door and hung it outside. It is washable and even though it gets used a lot, it never tangles. My only criticism is it does hang up occasionally on things you might be carrying, or in my case, my watch.
