I've been in dire need of some water resistant boots as it's pretty dirty work and the grounds get really muddy during the fall. These were exactly what I was looking for. Something heavy and durable yet cost effective since I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for boots that are going to get so filthy. I also wanted them to be cute at the same time. These were literally the perfect harmony of everything. Affordable, absolutely cute, and heavy duty. Not thin and flimsy like some cheap rain boots can be.I was surprised that they actually came in a shoebox. The downside is the shoebox was taped closed and a shipping label placed on it. The box arrived via USPS and was pretty mangled as to be expected with USPS. Thankfully my boots were ok though. They arrived MUCH faster than anticipated too so that is another huge plus for them.The fit was spot on. They fit exactly like every other pair of size 8 boots I own. I was really nervous buying boots online since I can't try them on so having them fit me exactly as I hoped was a relief.The ONLY downside, and I want to add it wasn't worth removing any stars, was they did have a heavy chemical smell from the paint. Kind of a turpentine smell. Nothing TOO bad though and lord knows wearing them to clean animal pens will just make them a different kind of smelly. If they were for regular wear I may set them outside to air out but it isn't worth it for work boots. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good boot for light use *by N***E on November 17, 2016* These are nice boots, and I love that they are not clunky, but I've have them for about three months now and have had to toss them due to holes and tears at the seams. I think these boots will work if you're only wearing them to go out and walk when it's raining. The 9 has enough room for thick socks if I need but isn't loose with thin socks either. I got these for walking my dog when it's raining, and now they're my everyday, all-purpose shoes. I've been wearing them nearly daily for 2 months, and they're pretty great. They hold up so well in wet weather, and my feet stay warm and dry walking my dog and walking to and from job sites. I wear them to work with leggings and a dress and get compliments on them (definitely didn't expect that from dog-walking shoes). There have only been 2 cons: 1. The heel area inside feel less supported than the rest of the foot, so after long walks I'd feel it in my lower back a little. I bought heel support inserts and the problem went away. 2. The mouth of the boot is wide, so sometimes little pebbles get in when I'm walking on a gravelly path. Overall, I love these shoes.
