Perfect for clearing trails and overgrowth. Vines and thicket don't stand a chance against this saw. Trees, branches, anything you can fit in its Jaws! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ AMAZING hand tool! *by A***Y on July 8, 2020* I bought this saw for my wife to trim our trees as well as work up the smaller wood and branches. She's proficient with a chain saw but it was not as easy to use on the smaller stuff. This Craftsman "alligator" saw is amazing and easy to use! It's also safe because you have to use both hands to engage the saw so one's hands are out of the way. We bought two extra batteries thinking we would outwork the the batteries. Nope! The batteries last really well, cut after cut after cut! Your hands might get tired from squeezing the two handles before the batteries need to be changed. We put oil in the blade oiler every time we change a battery, and many time more frequently, depending on how hard we we using the saw. The little bottle is NOT quality; it leaks oil all over the place. I read another reviewer who just manually oils the chain with an oil can. We may have to go to that.This was a bit heavy for my wife at first until she built up her arm and shoulder strength. She 's only 5'6", so not a huge woman; she also used elbow supports/pads because for the first few times, her elbows really ached. Now that she uses it more regularly, slowly working down our brush piles, she does fine.She has not had the chain jump off the blade but it has gotten loose on her.A battery operated saw is not nearly as loud as a regular chainsaw so there's less annoyance for the neighbors.Yes, with the extra batteries, this was a $200 purchase, which admittedly was a bit steep. However, it was more than worth it! This is a GREAT piece of equipment! 5 stars!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These loppers kick butt *by M***N on October 19, 2019* Wade into a brush pile with these things and you'll be amazed. You can choose which branch to cut very easily, as the blade guard is shaped perfectly for pushing it in there just right, opening it up a bit, then chomping through. You can chomp chomp chomp right through the pile quickly. These are not lightweight though. It's a good arm/shoulder workout, but a lot of work that can be accomplished in a short period of time. Very easy to use. I do not use the oiler. Oil the chain from an oil can. Battery life is plenty unless you're super human. My only complaint is the double triggers. I know they did this for some kind of safety reason, but really, it just gets in the way. You'd have to really screw up to hurt yourself with this tool, and in the course of chomping branches and brush it's not always convenient to have both hands placed exactly central on the handles so you can hold both triggers in. Often the tool is oriented so the handles are one above the other (cutting a horizontal branch) and it gets awkward if you don't have the option of standing to the side. I plan on eliminating this "feature" this winter and having either trigger turn it on.
