I didn't trust my phone on those, so bought this after some searching. It's also very compact, so could be taken more or less anywhere, or put in any kit bag to give you another possibility. Probably even mount it to the top of a camera using a cold shoe mount. Wow, so versatile!It works well, and I very much like that is has both a spring-loaded clamp, as well as a way to lock both the clamping action, and its rotation. The spring appears to be user-replaceable, provided you have an appropriately sized/ gauged spring, and a couple sizes allen keys to hand. Another nice consideration is that the fixings used to set friction on the clamping components are also openly accessible for tightening.It's a sleek black all over, except for some informational stencils (which are tastefully done), and a bit of branding on the other side which feels arbitrary when you realise this same mount is being sold under other, similarly branded names. On the mount I got, the anodizing on the longer middle piece is a little off; the black is slightly different, weaker, and more matte than the other components, which are coated uniformly to each other. This isn't noticeable at a glance, however.Despite a lot of attention paid to the details, this mount is loose by about 1-2mm when I try to clamp the base in my Smallrig Arca Swiss style quick release clamp. I tried the mount in a different Arca Swiss tripod head, and found that it did fit, and could be clamped securely using a screw-tighten clamp.In all, I'm still very happy with my purchase, but for the money would have liked a uniform finish, subtler branding, and compatibility with the quick release clamp that I own. If not for those minor complaints, I would have given it 5 stars overall. ### ⭐⭐⭐ The lever locking mechanism failed after about a year *by J***A on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 22 April 2022* This is a fairly good device. I've had mine for just over a year. I am not sure whether mine was faulty but the lever that locks the clamp in particular positions stopped holding after a while. Even tightening the screw that secures the lever did not help. This is the only weak link I can identify in an otherwise good little gadget, but it is a big problem (for me at least). ### ⭐⭐⭐ Solid but expensive *by R***G on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 25 March 2022* It's made of metal and feels very solid. It's a bit fiddly to use though; you need to loosen the screw at the back to release the spring-loaded arm. The little lever to stop the mount from spinning is OK but it all feels unnecessarily fiddly.
